Skillfully combining athletic performance and artistic expression, figure skating is undeniably among the most spectacular of sports. Indeed it is often portrayed as being more than a sport. Figure skating can almost be described as a live art. A mixture of art and athleticism. No other sport combines the elegance and beauty of balletic grace with the danger of complex triple and quadruple jumps, spiral sequences, twists, lifts, and throws at exhilarating speeds. Its various forms, from ice dancing to pairs to men's and women's solo skating, have entranced spectators around the world.

Figure Skating also has arguably the highest visibility of any Olympic sport, consistently receiving higher television ratings and more broadcast hours than other major sports in both national and Olympic television programming. In the U.S., figure skating broadcasts from the 1994 Olympic Winter Games became the highest-rated Olympic television programming of all time. Coverage of the ladies' short program from Lillehammer had the sixth-highest rating in television history (48.5), placing it behind such successful American programs as the final episode of "M*A*S*H" and the finale of the "Roots" mini-series.

Figure skating ranks as the most popular spectator sport among American women and their teenage daughters, providing an excellent opportunity to reach the non-traditional sport segment. In Europe as well, figure skating enjoys immense popularity, with women and girls accounting for the majority of figure skating viewers and fans.

By staging one of the most successful televised figure skating events in Germany, ITMS Sports does its part in supporting this scintillating sport. After selling out its inaugural event in 2001, ITMS Sports' Stars on Ice event in the Rhine Main area again set attendance records in 2002, once more fascinating a national television audience. The telecast of this figure skating extravaganza, featuring Olympic, European, and World Champions achieved a 10.8 rating on German television.

ITMS Sports offers diverse sponsorship and marketing opportunities for a variety of business backgrounds for this yearly figure skating tour. Utilizing all facets of the communications spectrum, from television and new media to public relations and traditional advertising and promotion, we can exceed the most demanding sponsors' expectations. And through our Stars on Ice event, we also offer corporate clients unique entertainment and hospitality opportunities to entertain their guests in style at an exclusive gala evening.
